Candle & Room Spray Care

Thoughtful care helps your Bulkhead Grove fragrance products perform beautifully and last longer. Follow these simple guidelines for the best experience.

Candle Care

Before lighting

  • Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable.
  • Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before every burn. This encourages an even flame and helps reduce soot and mushrooming.
  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris.

While burning

  • On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the vessel. This helps promote an even burn and reduces tunneling.
  • Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended, and do not move it while the wax is liquid or the vessel is hot.
  • If the flame becomes unusually high, flickers continuously, or produces smoke, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight.

When to stop

  • Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Burning beyond this point can cause the container to overheat.
  • Use a candle snuffer when possible. Allow the candle to cool completely before handling, covering, or relighting.

Room & Linen Spray Care

  • Shake gently before use, then mist into the air from an upright position.
  • For linens and fabrics, test first on a small, inconspicuous area. Hold the bottle 8–12 inches away and spray lightly.
  • Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, food, finished wood, painted surfaces, tile, floors, and other surfaces that may become slippery or stained.
  • Do not ingest. Keep away from children, pets, open flames, sparks, and heat sources.
  • Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

A Few Extra Tips

  • Fragrance strength can vary with room size, airflow, and temperature. Start with a light application and add more as desired.
  • Keep products at a consistent room temperature to help preserve their quality.
  • Always follow any product-specific instructions printed on the label.
